The system will also ask you about your phone’s manufacturer and model to check if it is compatible with Google Fi. If your phone is not consistent, you will be given the option to trade it in or buy a new one. More phone manufacturers are now compatible with Google Fi.
What Are Google Fi’s Plans?
The Google Fi offers a total of two plans, which are the flexible plan and the unlimited plan.
The flexible plan starts with $20 per month, which includes unlimited talk and text. When you reached the used data of 1GB, that is the time that you will be charged an additional $10.
The charging of user data is capped at $60, so the monthly bill you can have for the flexible plan is only $80 ($20 base + $60 data).
Even though the flexible plan is capped at $60, once you reach 15GB, the available data that you can receive is only at 256kbps.
If you intend to use data over 15GB, it is recommended to use the unlimited plan wherein the starting plan is at $70 per month. Choosing the unlimited plan is the best option if you have up to six lines with maximum data usage of 22GB.
Google Fi family plans are also available where you can add additional lines. You can use the Google Fi app to monitor your data.
You can manually add or remove members. If you are to split the bill with your group, the system will automatically compute it depending on how many people use the shared plan.
